TCC Tooling
Software I maintain for the Tasmanian Climate Collective, a volunteer organisation. The aim throughout is to take repetitive admin off a small group of volunteers while keeping a person in charge of anything that gets published.
- Admin ToolsA Cloudflare Worker and single-page app for importing events and news, reconciling contacts and drafting social posts.
- Post ToolMirrors Facebook Page posts to Bluesky and adds first comments.
- Draft Runner and Slack HelperA Windows tray app that runs the AI jobs with Claude, and a Firefox extension for Slack invites.
- Website and ArchitectureThe Wix and Velo site, and the documents that describe how all the pieces fit.
How the pieces fit
- The Wix site is the source of truth for content and contacts. The admin tool authors content outside Wix and pushes it in through authenticated HTTP routes.
- The admin tool and the post tool share one small D1 database, which is how a queued first comment reaches the reposter.
- AI work has two writers: Claude through the tray app when that PC is on, and a free-tier Gemma model as the fallback when it is not.
- Nothing is on the critical path. If any of these stop, the website, mailing list and newsletter carry on and the work is done by hand.
An older Apps Script sync between the email provider and Google Sheets is being retired in favour of the admin tool. These pages describe tools and design only; no member or organisation data is shown.
