Wordle Solver

A Firefox extension that plays the daily Wordle for you, on desktop and Android.

Install for Firefox

Open Wordle, press the green Solve Wordle button, and watch it work. It never looks up the answer: it reads the colours the game shows after each guess and narrows down the words, starting with SALET. It usually finishes in three or four guesses. Nothing leaves your browser.

Install

1. Open this page in Firefox (desktop or Android) and tap the button above.
2. Firefox asks to add the extension. Accept.
3. Open Wordle and press Solve Wordle.

On Android, the toolbar popup is in the Firefox menu under Extensions. The on-page button is easier.

How it works

• Starts with SALET and reads the colours the game shows after each guess.
• Drops every word that doesn't fit the clues, then picks the next guess from what is left.
• Runs only on nytimes.com/games/wordle and keeps its few settings in your browser.

A personal project, signed by Mozilla for private distribution, so it isn't in the add-ons store. Not affiliated with The New York Times.
